One of the requests we get quite often is help people set up a chat plugin. Theres many reasons to utilize a Chat system on your WordPress website and used properly this can be an incredibly powerful way to engage users proactively and provide a level of support that can’t be achieved any other way. The main problem when it comes to WordPress plugins is the sheer number of options, from free to paid, is turly overwhelming and requires a great deal of time to sift through all the options just to create a shortlist. And then each needs to be tried and evaluated to assess if it lives up to its stated features, or if it lacks the lustre advertised, or if the support is not up to par, the list goes on and on…

Once all of this is done we hopefully can settle on a wordpress chat plugin that will work for many years into the future.

So this post is to share with everyone the WordPress Chat solution that we have recommended, set up and managed for our clients over the last couple of years. The chat plugin is called Jivo Chat and we have signed up as affiliates to promote this product/service to everyone in need of a reliable chat plugin for wordpress websites. Jivo provides a free version that does a great job on its own and is an easy way to try it out before optionally upgrading to pro version (or use the free version with no time limits).

The features we especially appreciate about Jivo Chat are:

  • Engage users proactively using chat triggers.
  • Easy to brand to match the style of your site.
  • Great analytics showing users, chat usage, and other helpful statistics.
  • Very lightweight plugin, loads fast.
  • Works great on mobile.
  • No limits on number of chats, even with free version.
  • The list goes on, but thats it for now.

Please consider using Jivo Chat WordPress Plugin if you are thinking about or actively looking for a chat solution we highly recommend it! And if you would like help setting it up, we are also able to provide that service at your request.

Thanks very much to Jivo Chat!
